I grew up in Virginia, and I’m well acquainted with the fierce power of disruptive weather systems and their restorative beauty. I sought to capture this juxtaposition metaphorically, echoing many changes I’ve experienced in my life during this past decade.

GRAMMY-winning producer and Virginian Bill Wolf (Tony Rice, Grateful Dead) has thrown himself into this project with admirable heart and soul, and Friday the 13th is his “lucky day.” That’s aptly fitting for this project, which is thematically based on our symbiotic relationships with nature and with each other. BOARDING WINDOWS IN PARADISE has been a paradigm shift for me as a person and musician, and I am beyond thrilled to share it with you. Featuring the talents of Béla Fleck, Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan, Barry Bales, Josh Swift, Byron House, Ron Block, Scott Vestal, Shelby Means, Virginia band Love Canon, and more.
